Each bite fills a purpose to nourish body and soul. Food comforts us. It helps us celebrate and mourn. It helps us honour our religion. At the heart of it, food connects us.
Food is a means to make sense of the here and the now, and of the cosmos.

We surround the table and return to the plate, within which is a reflection of ourselves.
We offer elevated Greek cuisine that transports you to heavenly places. That’s why our name is Astéria.

Ἀστερία
We are of the stars

Our name is inspired by the Greek goddess Astéria, who is connected to the night sky and prophetic dreams. Astéria created a bridge between heaven and earth after plunging into the sea in an attempt to escape. She transformed into the island, Delos, that was believed to be a place where the divine and mortal worlds intersected, and where mortals could receive guidance and blessings from the gods.
At Astéria food is the bridge to the divine.

Food and family
Astéria wouldn’t be here if not for Costa Tomazos. Renowned restaurateur and now chairman, Costa founded FoodFund International back in 1976.

Now, with over 1,100 dedicated employees and 14+ restaurants across the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Greece and Kenya, FFI has the pleasure of welcoming hundreds of guests to our table, every day.
